IMANA Medical Relief has been committed to relief efforts in
Haiti, since 2010 when the devastating earthquake hit and ravaged that delicate land. Within 3 months time, our
initial teams treated over 10,000 patients after the devastation.
This past
March IMANA Medical Relief volunteers completed a medical mission in Haiti
from March 4, to March 10, 2012 a total of twenty one healthcare providers
participated. In the town of Miragone
our team established the IMANA H.O.P.E (Haiti Out-Patient Establishment)
Clinic. The mission not only achieved its goals but exceeded their own
expectations. A total of 2,265 patients were cared for from newborns to the
elderly. Years of political unrest followed by the earthquake have left the
healthcare system in Haiti
completely non-existent.
Our goal is to maintain this clinic on a long term
basis allowing for us to continue our efforts at providing those in need with
healthcare. IMANA Medical
Relief will be hosting multiple 1 week medical mission throughout the year in Miragone. During that
time we will be providing medical care to the local community.
IMANA Medical Relief
is seeking dedicated primary care Physicians, Pediatricians, Ob-Gyn, Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine and 3rd or 4th year medical
students and nurse volunteers for the upcoming medical mission
trip in Haiti.
