Understanding Palliative Care by Dr. Natasha Piracha

The IMANA Education Committee is proud to present a webinar with Dr. Natasha Piracha, a MedPeds Hospice & Palliative Medicine Physician. This webinar will share the basics of palliative care, who it benefits, and what a physician’s role is in one’s care throughout the critical illness. Dr. Piracha will also present on how one can prepare and handle Hospice care.

Dr. Natasha Piracha completed her fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine in June 2020 at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai in New York City, NY. Dr. Piracha had previously completed her medical school training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ and stayed there to complete a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency in 2014. During that time she served as chief resident for the Internal Medicine/Pediatrics program and subsequently as a chief resident in Internal Medicine at the East Orange Veterans Affairs Hospital. Dr. Piracha has volunteered on four international trips with IMANA Medical Relief and mostly recently as a team leader for the SaveSyria mission in April 2019.
