| Example: Meet Akrama Hashmi, IMANA Executive Director Akrama’s WHY for being involved is: IMANA changed the way I think. My father wanted me to be a doctor. Once I joined IMANA – I saw how the world is different compared to the way I lived. I went from not acknowledging my privilege to becoming humble. I saw different views of how people live in the world – without access to food to eat, or water, or basic necessities. IMANA has helped me practice the core belief of my faith in respecting the humanity of others. I am happy to be making a difference worldwide. |
