Widespread flooding in central Louisiana, specifically Baton Rouge area, has caused loss of life and extensive damage to property leaving tens of thousands of people homeless. A state of emergency has been declared; humanitarian and government organizations are working to provide help and relief goods to the affected population. IMANA is launching an appeal for funds for distribution of food and emergency cash assistance to those in need.
