IMANA is launching a General Surgery program in Nepal intended to help with complex surgeries and to train the local surgeons.
Surgical care has become a significant health priority as Nepal’s healthcare infrastructure and economic disparities continue to create barriers in access to quality and affordable surgical services. Limited access to and capacity for surgical care within the local healthcare system has created a backlog of patient cases which has resulted in delayed care for many. Through our surgical program, IMANA aims to support the acute need by providing advanced surgeries and laparoscopic procedures to those in need in addition to also training local surgeons and support staff to improve routine treatment overall.
