Dr. Hassan Aboumerhi

Dr. Hassan Aboumehri is an interventional pain physician and anesthesiologist. He was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and completed a BS/MD program at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). He did his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Chicago and a fellowship in multidisciplinary pain management at Northwestern University.
Dr. Aboumehri specializes in procedures to treat various pain issues, including joint injections, trigger point injections, nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections, and radiofrequency ablations. He also performs advanced procedures like kyphoplasty, minimally-invasive lumbar decompression, sacroiliac joint fusion, and neuromodulation techniques such as spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation.

He is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is a member of several professional societies, including the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS), the Society of Education in Anesthesia (SEA), and the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).
Dr. Aboumehri currently practices at University Hospitals Lake Pain Management in Mentor, Ohio. He has been Chair of IMANA’s Students and Residents Committee since 2022.
