“The most destructive storm to hit the Florida panhandle
in decades”

– Florida Governor Rick Scott
At least 13 people have died in Central America as Hurricane Michael traveled through the region, and local authorities are now warning Florida panhandle residents to evacuate as it quickly approaches to category three status, which can cause devastating damage when it makes landfall on Wednesday. Alabama and several parts of Georgia arae under a state of emergency. The Carolinas, still in recovery from Hurricane Florence, is set to undergo heavy rains during this time.

Your support today is critical as IMANA Medical Relief (IMR) rapidly prepares to send relief to this region of the U.S.

Making a difference in North Carolina

Thanks to your support, IMR contributed $25,000 toward humanitarian relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Florence in areas of North Carolina.

IMR has:

  • Provided warm meals to hundreds of people in Lumberton, New Bern, and Whiteville
  • Distributed four truckloads of canned food, bottled water, hygiene kits, and other relief supplies
  • Helped in cleanup at various locations

Further distribution of warm meals and relief supplies are planned in
Lumberton, North Carolina this coming weekend. Additionally, IMR physicians are on standby to extend any help requested by the North Carolina Department of Health.

IMANA Medical Relief works around the clock during hurricane season,
helping our fellow residents in the United States as well as overseas. This
heavy undertaking requires plenty of resources. Your contribution today will make a difference in the lives of many.
