Islamic Medical Association of North America (IMANA) held its annual Muslim Ophthalmology Society Dinner on Saturday, November 11th, 2017 at the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center. This delightful event provided Muslim Ophthalmologists, residents, and sponsors an opportunity to network and share an array of ideas. IMANA Ophthalmology is one of the forums
of IMANA Specialties, which are networking groups that provide forums for fellow specialists.
Long Island Against Domestic Violence held its 41st Annual Gala on November 2, 2017, at a Purple Tie Celebration. Over 500 people attended this prestigious event.
Dr. Hafiz ur Rehman MD FAAP was one of the two Honorees; he was given the “2017 Excellence in Advancing Human Rights” Award recognizing his leadership role in improving the lives of women and children.
The organization offers comprehensive services that address the multifaceted needs of a victim — including counseling, court and precinct advocacy, legal assistance, vocational and financial training, as well as shelter.
