Volunteer - ServeRohingya

ServeRohingya

Almost a million Rohingya people of Myanmar were displaced following the communal violence that erupted there in August 2017. They sought shelter in neighboring Bangladesh where they are putting up in makeshift camps, as they are still unable to return to their homes even after more than 3 years. Most of them are the elderly, women, and children who urgently need food and water, shelter, and basic health care. The U.N. and the Bangladesh government resources being limited, local and international NGOs have been augmenting much-needed emergency care.
IMANA Medical Relief responded to the urgent need immediately and has been sending its medical relief teams under the umbrella of FIMA (Federation of Islamic Medical Associations) in coordination with local partners. Our volunteer doctors travel to Bangladesh and, in conjunction with local physicians, provide critically needed healthcare via mobile clinics. Our teams have rotated weekly to the Rohingya camps regularly, with a short suspension in 2020 during the pandemic; they have treated 353,565 patients as of December 2020.
We need your help to keep providing this critically needed healthcare cover to the destitute, displaced Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
