Every year the World Health Organization recognizes World Mental Health Day on October 10th to raise awareness of mental illness, fight discrimination and provide resources for support. The Covid-19 pandemic has negatively affected many people’s mental health and created new barriers for those who are already suffering from mental illness and substance use disorders1
It is essential to realize that mental health plays an integral part in our overall well-being and is just as important as physical health and can be effectively treated. Here are a few resources to help you navigate the stigmas surrounding mental illness and undertake preventive measures to protect your mental health.
