Tackling the Climate Crisis Together

June 4th, 2021

“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.” (Muslim)
As medical professionals inspired by our faith, it is our duty to serve all those in need while simultaneously addressing the effects of climate change that threaten the lives of millions. At IMANA, this work includes divesting endowment funds from all fossil fuel companies, promoting green office operations in our workplace and beyond, and participating in interfaith climate action coalitions to lay the groundwork for direct action.

Whether it is through internal advancements, partnered calls to action, or digital educational programming, we at IMANA are committed to helping flatten the climate curve. For a deeper look into our action items and climate advocacy programs, please visit our Climate Crisis page. Together, we can help create a lasting charity through a world free of climate disasters for generations to come.

Join us on June 9th for a special upcoming webinar with Dr. Uzma Syed, Chair of COVID-19 Task Force for the Good Samaritan Medical Center, as we review the effects of COVID-19 in 2020 and where we currently stand. With information on cutting edge medical technologies, vaccine news, and pertinent COVID-19 statistics, Dr. Syed will guide us on how we can continue to wisely weather this storm together.
As of last week, IMANA’s #HelpGazaHeal campaign was able to sponsor urgently needed medical supplies in Gaza, received and distributed to the Ministry of Health by the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. These supplies will help heal many of those wounded in Gaza and give urgent medical equipment to public hospitals. We thank all of you who supported to make this work possible.
