For most of us, 2021 was a transition towards normalcy due to the Covid vaccine rollout, but many continue to face challenges to access essential healthcare services.
This past month, IMANA’s Disaster Relief Campaign highlighted our response efforts during natural and climate-induced disasters, armed conflicts and addressed the needs of those impacted as they move to safety and resettlement.
For almost two years now, the COVID-19 outbreak has permanently changed the world and, through the crisis, IMANA has continued its pandemic response efforts in the US and internationally.
Earlier this week, our six-member volunteer team headed to Swat Valley as part of the ServePakistan medical mission and successfully provided medical care to over 2,000 patients in the rural community. We are proud of our volunteers for their hard work during the pandemic…
Last week, the Virginia Council of Muslim Organizations (VCMO) hosted an event to recognize community members helping with the resettlement of Afghan refugees in the state. VCMO invited Dr. Khalique Zahir, IMANA Board member, and Mr. Zahid Mahmood, Director of Operations, to the event attended by top leadership and officials from the Department of Homeland Security, FEMA, and Virginia Governor’s office.
